I pack lightweight dry camping food, so it's always a treat to eat out when I reach a town. Despite my vegetarian past, the food I've been craving most when I get into town is a bacon cheeseburger. I've had one in nearly every town, and am always on the lookout for a good burger joint.
Without further ado, my nominations for best southeast Alaska food are:
Bacon cheeseburger: The bar above the laundromat in Auke Bay
Fish and chips: Coastal Cold Storage in Petersburg
Salad: No serious contenders to date
